The purpose of the processing is to fulfil the public tasks assigned to us by law.
Unless otherwise stated, the legal basis for the processing of your data results from Art. 4 para. 1 of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Accordingly, we are permitted to process the data required to fulfil a task incumbent upon us. If you have consented to processing, the data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

1.3 Recipients of personal data

Our web server is operated by Ingenieurgruppe IVV. The personal data transmitted by you when you visit our website is therefore processed on our behalf by Ingenieurgruppe IVV:

• If you have consented to the processing and the processing is based on this consent, you can revoke your consent at any time for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

2. Special notes on the website

2.1 Logging

By accessing this website, you transmit data to our web server via your internet browser. The following data is processed during an ongoing connection for communication between your Internet browser and our web server:

The data is stored in the log files of our system, whereby the IP address is truncated immediately after it is collected, i.e. an IPv4 address is truncated to the first two bytes, an IPv6 address to the first 32 bits. Personal profiles cannot be created with such truncated IP addresses. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user.

2.2 Active components

JavaScript is used in our information offering. You can switch off this function by changing the settings in your Internet browser. By switching off JavaScript, individual services (e.g. the map applications) of our information offering may no longer be usable.

2.3 Cookies

By accessing this website, we store so-called session cookies (small text files) on your hard drive, which are valid for the duration of your visit to the website. We use these exclusively to recognise your session during your visit to our website. The session cookies contain a unique identification number and the IP address used by your computer. At the end of your visit, these cookies are automatically deleted from your hard drive.

We use the Matomo software environment on this website to continuously improve the content, services and functions. The data collected with Matomo is only stored and analysed by us in anonymised form on our own servers. The data protection settings (‘Do Not Track’ requirements) are observed.

2.5 Collection of further data / disclosure of data

We assure you that we take the greatest possible care in selecting and engaging our service providers to ensure that your data is used securely and only for the purposes stated.
Where necessary, we have concluded order processing contracts with the service providers used and, in the case of a server location outside the EU, we only use service providers that have been certified in accordance with the Data Privacy Framework and are therefore subject to the EU adequacy decision (https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list).
Furthermore, if we are obliged to do so by law or by court order, we will transfer your data to authorities authorised to receive such information.

2.5.1 Support

If you send us enquiries or feedback by email or via the feedback form, your email address, including any contact details you provide there, will be stored in order to process the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We may have to pass on anonymised extracts of your enquiry (e.g. of a technical nature) to service providers involved in the operation of the system for clarification. We use the PlanIO help desk solution from Planio GmbH (Planio) to process enquiries via the feedback form and the contact addresses assigned to the radlland-bayern.de domain. The legal basis for the processing of data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. Our interest is in responding to enquiries from users of the services of RadlLand Bayern.

You can object to the storage of your data as part of a support enquiry at any time using the feedback form. We ask for your understanding that in this case no further processing of your existing enquiries can be carried out.

2.5.2 Routing services

In order to provide further information (e.g. arrival and departure information by forwarding start/destination etc. to Bayerninfo), data is forwarded to specialised service providers. The requests are routed via our servers so that the service providers do not receive any data that can be used to identify individual users, apart from the route points and options entered by the user.
Furthermore, no tracking or combination with previous requests to the routers can take place, as these are stateless systems. This means that there are no records of previous interactions.

The legal basis for processing the data is Art. 4 Para. 1 of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) in conjunction with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. e. Our interest is to provide comprehensive information on cycling in Bavaria and supporting value-added functions.

2.5.3 Share function/ branch.io

To send short links, create QR codes and other informative links, we use the branch.io service from Branch Metrics, Inc. This makes it possible to display routes and information suitable for your end device and, for example, to open routes directly in the app if the app has already been installed. The short links created for routes cannot be viewed directly by us. The user decides independently with whom they want to share these route links.
We do not pass on the data collected by this service and have taken technical measures to limit or, where possible, completely exclude the collection of user data/tracking of users. The legal basis for the processing of the data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. Our interest is the barrier-free provision of user content across our entire range of services.

2.6 Electronic mail (e-mail)

Information that you send to us unencrypted by electronic mail (e-mail) may be read by third parties during transmission. As a rule, we are also unable to verify your identity and do not know who is behind an e-mail address. Legally secure communication by simple e-mail is therefore not guaranteed.
Like many e-mail providers, we use filters against unwanted advertising (‘SPAM filters’), which in rare cases automatically categorise normal e-mails as unwanted advertising and delete them. E-mails containing harmful programmes (‘viruses’) are automatically deleted by us in all cases.
Please let us know whether and how we can reply to your message and whether you agree to an unencrypted e-mail reply to your letter. If you do not agree to this, please provide us with your postal address so that we can reply to your message.
